Welcome to the Stoops Study. My name is Yolanda Campbell Lifter, and I have the surname of Stoops registered at the Guild of One-Name Studies. My goal is to identify every individual with this surname who has resided in the United States and, eventually, throughout the world.

My 3rd great-grandmother was Elizabeth Stoops, daughter of Philip Stoops and Ann McCormick, of Rockbridge County, Virginia. Philip was born in New Castle County, Delaware, and served in the Revolutionary War. Members of their families came to southwestern Ohio in the early 1800s.
